Shooting Script

Intro music is heard from title screen then is quieted down as scene starts with a 3rd person view of Adam walking hurriedly down the corridor to the door.
The echo of footsteps down the corridor, change to a POV shot of Adam opening the door.
Eyeline match of Adam to Danny, chair spins to reveal Danny.
Dark dim lighting on the table, Danny leans into the light.

Danny: Franky welcome. Take a seat. (Beckons to chair)

(Adam kneels in front of Danny) 90 degree camera angle, Adam sits back in chair looking nervous whilst Danny is leaning forward looking confident and comfortable.

Adam: Don Auditore, I beseech you. (takes seat) I need to borrow... your maths homework. These teachers, they are all over us since the start of the year. They got two of my boys last week, they ain't been the same since they got outta detention.

(jump cuts of 45 degrees to show conversation) Danny is in a dark light adam is well lit up.

Danny: (Leans forward) You come to me, pleading, begging for my homework on the eve of my English assessment and you expect me to do you a favour?

Adam: Don, you remember that time I gave you that answer to that Biology question?

Danny: (Slamming hands on table, camera angle looking down 45 degree angle) I owe nothin' to nobody! I found you in first year and made you the student you are! You disrespect me in my own tutor group!
(sighs)
But I will help you. I'm gonna throw you a bone... (pause) for a price. I want you to go to Tesco at lunch and get me the finest Foxes biscuits you see.
(pause)
Can you do that for me Franky?

Adam: Of course Don! Anything!

Danny: Ok then. (slides book to him, camera tracks book) Now get outta'ere, your face bothers me.
(over the shoulder shot of Adam walking out of room with a look back at Danny camera at 15 degrees looking down, shot gradually fades to black)

Example of music

This is the kind of background music that we want in our work as it portraits the feeling of the scene extremely well and immediately lets you know that the scene is about the mafia.
